Two thousand young people from all over the Hawassa Vicariate participated in the Youth Festival in Hawassa from 7th to 9th of February 2019.
The first day the youth marched from the cathedral up to Atote chapel, where they stayed for 3 days. The program of the festival included lectures given by Bishop Roberto, abba Teshome Fiqire (Youth sacraments and liturgy), ato Argaw Fantu (Peace in a family), testimonies of married couples and prayers.
The motto of the Festival was “Youth as evangelizers of their fellow youth”.
